Sustainable development as a challenge of engineering education

The purpose of this paper is to research the ways integrating sustainable development into study programs engineering faculties in an international con-text, as well analyse current state education for at universities Republic Serbia. Therefore, a desk-top research, analysis curricula, have been conducted. results indicated two possible approaches integration curricula ? form special subjects dedicated problems engineering, or integrative approach which implies that becomes integral part entire curriculum. Subjects identified all universities, but not where engineers are educated Serbia, they present levels (undergraduate, master, doctoral), within applied, integrated and specialist studies, by status most often elective. confirm open up towards questions both context, higher Serbia such, can serve relevant minis-tries science, recommendation way plan design future order provide overall support sustainability engineering.
